1. Ibusuki Sand Baths (Sunamushi) –

Put on a traditional cotton "Yukata" (robe) and lie down on the beach while staff bury you in naturally steaming, heavy volcanic sand. It's a 300-year-old detoxifying tradition that warms you to the core while you listen to the crashing ocean waves.

2. Nagasakibana & Ryugu Shrine –

Visit the southernmost point of the Satsuma Peninsula. Enjoy spectacular views of the perfect conical Mt. Kaimon (the "Fuji of Satsuma") and a charming Shinto shrine tied to a famous Japanese ocean legend.

3. Lake Ikeda –

Stop by Kyushu's largest crater lake, known for its deep blue waters, vibrant seasonal flower fields, and the legend of a mysterious lake monster.
